Thanksgiving on Mt Hood

We went with Dad to our traditional Mt Hood turkey day adventure: this time we hiked the Salmon
River Trail which had a swollen fast river, and found some geocaches, then went for fun and Thanksgiving dinner and overnight at the Mazama Lodge.  It rained on Thursday but snowed that night and we drove up above the clouds to Timberline Lodge to play in the snow on Friday.

Mt St Helens: Our first big mountain summit!

On Saturday, 23-Sep-2017, our Dad and Laura Jacoby climbed up to the top and looked into the caldera of this active volcano!  Our climb team had the youngest and the oldest climbers on the mountain that day.  Wow!!

Labor Day beach trip: Hug Point State Park

Dad was surprised when we stayed 9 HOURS at this beach today and just played and explored.

We love to get muddy, except when we're supposed to

We ran a kids obstacle course race, complete with a mud pit that you were to belly-crawl through - a chance to get really muddy. Instead, we ran through it so we didn't get too dirty.

Soccer

Koh: I still like soccer and am now playing on a competitive team. We got 2nd at our first tournament this summer.

We LOVE our annual camping trip to Olallie Lake because newts, snakes, fish, and friends.

We love balls - 101 of them

We helped dad organize our sports balls and counted them, too.  "No, dad we don't want to give any away".

So here they are 101 of them, ready for action on our new garage ball shelf.  Soccer balls, basketballs, baseballs, softballs, golf balls, tennis balls, wiffle balls, lacrosse balls, beach balls, bocci balls, footballs....

We've had a busy February.  Abe seems like a professional gymnast, Koh plays basketball, we both completed the Mazama mountaineering class, we built a miniature tornado machine for the science fair and we go to school, too.  Here are our photo albums this month:
