Shadows

We love shadows and the sun game and our dad and walking to the bus too.  Today we got all four.

Pumped up

Koh: I'm working out more dad so I grow up to be just like you.  How do I look?

Starbucks art class

Today was late start day at school so we took our "Draw 50 Sea Creatures" library book to the coffee shop and dad got us vanilla lattes and we drew scary fish just for fun.

Palm Sunday

We went to church and lucky us it was Palm Sunday so we got an outdoor procession and some palms to play with. Dad said prayers are like wishes so we wished mom has a good race today.  

Koh: I know about Jesus who is a baby born in China, but he may be grown up now.  I prayed I get more Legos.

Swimsuit edition, kid's version

We saw dad's magazine, so we did our own photo for next year's edition.

We slept in an igloo - wow!

...but first we had to build it, well dad and the other dads did that while we sledded and had snowball fights and hot cocoa. Nobody else wanted to winter camp with us, so we had the igloo to ourselves all night.  THAT was cool.

Actually not cool at all 'cause dad had all the right gear for us so we were warm and dry.  The other families thought we were crazy.

Snow days!

We just love these snow days in Portland, cause the schools close, the roads are jammed and we get to sled and shred on our street.

Our first cameras

Aunt Angela and Uncle Torrey got us these neat digital cameras for Christmas we had to BUILD before we used 'em.  Here we are on some of our photo field trips.

Thanksgiving with Dad

For turkey day Dad watched TWO thanksgiving day parades with us on TV, then we drove to play on frozen Trillium lake then ate this big dinner with hot cocoa and pies and 60 people at the Mazama Lodge.

When we drove home we asked if he'd take us to do all THAT again next year.

Parke Diem Willamette Park

Abe: We volunteered today at one of our favorite parks and planted some natives in the bioswale and cleaned up the beach.

I got stung by a bee on my ear and I cried but it was worth it because we got lots of yummy Starbucks food, drank pop and then played in the park and rode our bikes for a long time.

We love our annual beach trip, especially jumping off the sand dunes, campfires, donuts and running on the beach.

Funny Faces

ABE: I've lost 5 teeth so my smile ain't pretty these days. But people still like me, nobody really minds. I actually like losing teeth because the tooth fairy brings me strange money from her land plus I can do tricks using the holes in my smile.

KOH: We went to street festival and this nice artist made me into a lizard and Abe into a cheetah. Good practice for Halloween.  I smashed into a pole that day so hard it loosened one of my teeth!

Camp trip #4: Deschuttes

Dad told us this was the first place we camped in life, and we were only 6 months old then.  We keep coming back to this place 'cause we like it so much.  Mom and dad used to carry us in front packs when were were tiny, then in a bike trailer.

This time we rode our own bikes on the river trail, floated in the fast river current 'cause we're good swimmers and even found a rope swing...scary at first but real fun. Here's our music video of 3 days of fun.
