Muddy beach day

Mom and Dad let us play in the mud anytime we want, and we really liked this beach - wow the mud was deep and squishy.

We built a mud castle, swam and walked around finding dead fish, fish hooks, rocks and other cool things. 

July 4 Parade

Our street had a parade on the holiday, everyone came out and Grandma decorated our bikes and our heads. How do you like it?

2013 campout #1: Whatum Lake

Mom was travelling so dad took us to this awesome hidden lake in the Columbia Gorge called Whatum Lake.

We got this great secluded campsite, ate s'mores for breakfast lunch and dinner, played with the fire a lot, fished for hours, practiced snowboarding on real snow, drank from a natural spring, hiked on Indian Mountain, found a pilot's grave, caught butterflies, fell into the lake, picked up newts and bugs, got scared by crawfish, saw a deer, made a wildflower centerpiece, then did that all again the second day.

Water park and a bear

Koh: We love water and water parks so dad took us to this one in Portland downtown today.  It was sunny and very fun, but there was danger - did you see that bear? Good thing I was watching, then I caught and tamed that bear and saved the day.

Lacrosse time!

Daddy got us some nice sticks at Goodwill, and we've been playing.  Tonight we played so long we turned back into the 8-legged 2 headed monster that came out of our mom 6+ years ago.  

Snowboard time

We learned to snowboard this year on Mt Hood, mom and dad got us a season pass and some lessons and we wore our bike helmets in case we hit a tree.   Check out how good we are!

We'll run for money

Dad and mom have taken us to the high school track for years and we do one lap and we're done.

But when we're earning money for the school fundraiser, we can do a LOT MORE laps.  Today we did 9 laps, that's 2+ MILES before they made us stop with the whistle. We raised over $100!

Railroad tracks, beach boys

We invited Jacob to go to the beach today, then we discovered this pile of old railroad ties.

We really like rock throwing, and sometimes we get carried away.

Boys in mud heaven

For a fun time, take four boys, two buckets and some snacks to a beach with mud, sand and rocks and watch what happens.   Any month, any river will do, this time it was February and the Willamette.

Bedtime Reading 2219, Bedtime Math 56

Koh: Mom read to us tonight for the 2219th night in a row, which is how many days we've been alive.   We really like bedtime reading and have a mini library in our room so they never run out.  Dad reads every night, too, but he had the camera tonight, and only one of them fits in that chair at a time.   Do you know we can even read some books to them?   That really impresses Mom and Dad.   

Back in November Dad started Bedtime Math, too, which we love 'cause it's gonna make us as smart as Ocean some day, and he's the sharpest buddy we have.
