1st grade term projects done!

Koh: Did you know I'm an expert on fruit bats?

Abe: I learned a lot about bobcats for my project - do u have any question?

Play date with William

Abe: William is my best buddy and is my classmate, too.  We like hanging out and today we had a play date and Koh came too.  We played wii and ping pong then went on an outing thru the woods up to the schools and back to William's home all the time kicking two soccer balls.  

We want to do that again, dad, ok?

Summer of 2014 beach day #1

15 minutes from home, this beach is awesome dad!   Sunny Saturday and nobody else is here?!   Columbia River beach next to the airport.

Term paper due: Animal Study and impact on the local watershed

We don't always love these school projects, but we do them so we can get on to 2nd grade next year.  Plus dad sets us up with a fun workspace and certain rewards...

Portland Thorns

Koh: Not much I love more than soccer and tonight Mom took us and our buddy Mason to see the Portland Thorns. I do love soccer, but I also love all the treats at the games.

Abe and Mason were pretty sad when our team lost.

 

 

Crazy hair day is Monday

All week it's spirit week at school - look what happened to our hair. 

Lumberyard Rocks

Abe & Koh: Today was awesome awesome awesome. Mom took us to the Lumberyard for the first time. Here's how we did right at the start. We were way better, and a little bruised up, by the end of the day. We can't wait to go back.

Rieke Rocket Run

Abe: I ran in the Rieke Rocket Run today. Me and Mom did the run and Koh walked with his buddy Ronan. I got a side stitch because I started out super fast. We crossed the finish line all together.

Shadows

We love shadows and the sun game and our dad and walking to the bus too.  Today we got all four.

Pumped up

Koh: I'm working out more dad so I grow up to be just like you.  How do I look?

Starbucks art class

Today was late start day at school so we took our "Draw 50 Sea Creatures" library book to the coffee shop and dad got us vanilla lattes and we drew scary fish just for fun.

Palm Sunday

We went to church and lucky us it was Palm Sunday so we got an outdoor procession and some palms to play with. Dad said prayers are like wishes so we wished mom has a good race today.  

Koh: I know about Jesus who is a baby born in China, but he may be grown up now.  I prayed I get more Legos.

Swimsuit edition, kid's version

We saw dad's magazine, so we did our own photo for next year's edition.

We slept in an igloo - wow!

...but first we had to build it, well dad and the other dads did that while we sledded and had snowball fights and hot cocoa. Nobody else wanted to winter camp with us, so we had the igloo to ourselves all night.  THAT was cool.

Actually not cool at all 'cause dad had all the right gear for us so we were warm and dry.  The other families thought we were crazy.

Snow days!

We just love these snow days in Portland, cause the schools close, the roads are jammed and we get to sled and shred on our street.
